We have compensated our 2019 CO2 emissions

As already mentioned, SPHEREA has set itself the goal of working CO2 positive at the beginning of 2020. This also includes to compensate the CO2 emissions of the last year. With the help of COMPENSAID we have compensated our flights in 2019 by supporting reforestation, sustainable aviation and the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel.

SPHEREA’s environmental contribution

SPHEREA has undertaken to start initiatives to bind CO2 emissions. One part of these initiatives has already been implemented. SPHEREA has signed a contract with a farmer from Unterfahlheim, district of Neu-Ulm, who sows flowers on his field to bind CO2 and at the same time provides food for insects and shelter for animals.

Message from SPHEREA Group CEO in France

Dear Clients & Partners, dear All,

As announced in his speech on the COVID-19 epidemic, Emmanuel Macron President of the Republic highlighted the gravity of the current situation: “Covid-19 which is impacting all continents and is striking all European countries, is the most serious health crisis that France has ever experienced.” Hence we are facing a case of force majeure to which SPHEREA must adapt and which marks the beginning of a unique, particular experience for all of us.

We have followed the precautionary measures recommended by our Government services and have organized, over time and through a business continuity  plan, our capacity to manage the transition to Stage 3 of the crisis.

Operating as a company responsible for fulfilling its commitments, the Executive Committee has created a specific organization to ensure the respect, coordination and execution of the business continuity plan based on 4 principles and with the aim of ensuring vital operations for all in the event that the crisis is prolonged:

– Protecting our employees : our first priority

– Ensuring as effectively as possible that we fulfill our client and partner commitments : respect for your trust in us.

– Ensuring the robustness of the company: to be there at your side today and tomorrow.

– To prepare for the future and the recovery from this global crisis.

Every major crisis has the advantage of accentuating what we are, and I have utter confidence in SPHEREA teams and their capacity to demonstrate the validity of our values: Trust Respect Commitment and Passion. Furthermore I am convinced that together we will do our very best to get through this experience successfully and by your side.

Whatever the situations experienced so far or to come, I confirm our commitment and my trust in you and I thank you for yours.

Kind Regards

Christian Dabasse
CEO

Appointment to the Senate of the German Economy

Martin Kugelmann was appointed to the Senate of the German Economy. He represents Spherea GmbH as a senator in the senate. The certificate of appointment was overhanded at the annual convention of the Senate on 30 November at the Maximilianeum (Bavarian Parliament) in Munich by the President of the Senate of Economics, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Franz Josef Radermacher.

The Senate of the Economy is composed of personalities from business, science and society who are particularly aware of their responsibility towards the state and society. Together, they contribute to the practical implementation of the common good-oriented goals of sustainability in the sense of the eco-social market economy. The Senate of Economics thus revives the traditional idea of the senates in ancient times. A balanced circle of friends of independent spirit followed the common good instead of solely particular interests. The Senate of Economics is purely oriented towards the common good and is in constant dialogue with representatives from politics and science. Our honorary senators Jean-Claude Juncker, Prof. Günther Verheugen, Prof. Klaus Töpfer, Prof. Jürgen Rüttgers and Rosi Gollmann are exciting sources of inspiration along with many other experts.

The ethical principles of the Senate’s community of values can also be the basis and guideline for the economic actions of the members of the Senate. Fairness and partnership in economic life as well as the social competence of entrepreneurs and executives characterize the work of the Senate.

Spherea GmbH and its managing director Martin Kugelmann are proud to be accepted into the Senate of Economy and thus have the opportunity to help shape a sustainable future in the spirit of John F. Kennedy’s quote: “Ask not what your country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country!

SPHEREA’s Annual Christmas Donation

To help people in difficult life situation, SPHEREA supports the Tafelläden Ulm, Alb-Donau-Kreis and Ulm’s kleine Spatzen each with a donation of 2.500,00 Euro.

The non-profit organization “Tafel” creates a balance between food surplus and food shortage: the voluntary staff collects good-quality food which would end up in the garbage and sells it to authorized people. (Quelle: drk-ulm.de)

The organization „Ulm’s kleine Spatzen” enables children memorable hours to distract the attention from their fate. The children are invited to activities like baking in a bakery, the visit of a leisure park, the cinema or a basketball game in the ratiopharm-arena. (Quelle: ulmskleinespatzen.de)
