Autism Center
SPHEREA is part of the FIFAA project “Fit for the world of work with autism” of the Autism Center Schwaben. This project supports people with autism in starting their careers. While social communication is a prerequisite in today’s working life, autistic people perceive their surroundings less in terms of social signals and pay more attention to small details. The aim of the project is to enable more autistic people to make a smooth transition from school or training to working life by improving compensation strategies and to support companies in employing autistic people. SPHEREA is convinced that people with autism can also be an asset to the economy. If suitable people are found, we would be happy to be able to offer internships or permanent jobs together with the Autism Center Schwaben.
charitable organization Tafel
SPHEREA supports the charitable organization Tafel with an annual monetary donation. In addition, SPHEREA was able to support the Tafel with a donation of 700 FFP2 mouth and nose protection masks during the Corona pandemic. The Tafel creates a balance between food surpluses and shortages: The volunteers collect high-quality food that would otherwise end up in the trash. These foods are sold in special shops for almost a third of the regular price to those entitled to them, for example to people with small pensions or to people who need social assistance. In addition to food donations, the Tafel stores in Ulm and the Alb-Donau district are also happy to receive donations of time in the form of voluntary support in collecting and selling food or monetary donations.
Blood donation campaign
On October 16, 2023, a blood donation campaign with a small first aid course with the German Red Cross took place for the first time in the Spherea premises. 66 employees and relatives have agreed to donate their blood.
Movember
In November, we dedicated ourselves to mustaches, not just to show style, but to raise awareness.
Spherea joined the Movember movement to bring light on men’s health, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and the importance of mental health.
Our mustaches were more than a fashion statement; they were a symbol of solidarity for men worldwide.

Gifts with a heart
This year, our team once again took part in the “Gifts with a heart” charity campaign organized by humedica e.V. to bring Christmas joy to children from Eastern Europe. Thanks to all colleagues who brought gifts and helped with the wrapping.
First aid course
For whom has the first aid course from the driving licence also been a long time ago? Our partner, the German red cross, gave our team a fresh-up emergency training in reanimation and wound care this month. Thank you for the refresher on this important topic!
Children’s sponsored run
We are delighted to have had the opportunity to support the sponsored run of the J-Hope e.V. association on 14.10.2023 in Erbach. There was also a SPHEREA running group for the children of our employees.
Coding club for girls
We are looking for schools that would like to offer a coding club for girls. The whole thing is an initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg, which we are happy to support.
Girls often hold back in group work in class – “the boys can do it better anyway” – we want to change this thinking. We support the PH Heidelberg on site in Ulm in order to be able to offer coding workshops at schools here too.

Sport mit gymnast Janine Berger
