ASTERIX Project: The future of test automation
The ASTERIX project (Artificial Intelligence Solution for Testing Equipment based on Research and Innovation eXcellence) sets new standards in test automation and ensures higher quality, efficiency and digital integration. Automated tests enable consistent and time-saving execution, while captured test data provides valuable insights. This technology can be particularly useful in the rail and avionics industries, such as door controls, braking systems, cockpit LRUs and power electronics. Our Franco-German team recently met in France to drive the project forward.
Works council of Spherea GmbH
The works council of Spherea GmbH was reconstituted today. Due to our company growth, we have 5 members now.
Once again, the turnout of 98% was extremely pleasing and shows the great interest of all employees in helping to shape the company.
The existing members of the Works Council are delighted with the confirmation in office and the confidence shown by their colleagues.

Christmas action – Gift with a heart
This year, our team once again took part in humedica e.V.’s “Gift with a heart” campaign. At our joint packing party, gifts were packed for children from Eastern Europe. We hope that we were able to bring a little joy to the children with our gifts.
Successful 4th Spherea Forum
The first day of our Spherea Forum is already behind us, and we are currently in the middle of the second day.
The forum opened with a fascinating insight into the last 10 years of Spherea and our visions for the future.
Axel Schuppe from the Verband der Bahnindustrie in Deutschland (VDB) e.V. (German Railway Industry Association) and Hans-Christoph Atzpodien from the Federal Association of the German Security and Defense Industry started with exciting keynotes.
Whether rail, aviation or defense: Together we discussed how automation and AI contribute to greater safety and availability in complex systems. Many thanks to Michael Rösch, Rösch Consult, Prof. Dr. Gert Bikker, German Aerospace Center (DLR), Stefan Mueck, IBM Consult and Jürgen Pinkl, former Senior Manager Director at Accenture DACH.
Another highlight was the panel discussion on opportunities and challenges in rail, mobility and defense with a joint view from the UK, France and Germany – a big thank you to Patrice BELIE, Max Strover and Martin Kugelmann for their valuable perspectives.
We also presented our employer branding and gave insights into our employee retention initiatives.
Through the whole day a magical touch was given by an accompanying magician who enchanted us with his tricks. Just awesome to see them and also to find out how they work.
The event was rounded off with a BBQ, networking and delicious cocktails mixed by Spherea employees, who demonstrated their hidden talents behind engineering.

Just now, InnoTrans , the world’s largest railway trade show, started. Spherea takes part with our show trailer showing plenty of our products.

National Counter-IED Conference
This year’s National Counter-IED Conference of the German Armed Forces took place in Hamburg over the last two days. We had the opportunity to give a presentation on “German Armed Forces and SMEs – working together to create an operational product”.
