Project Description

The test system TRE Plus is used for the maintenance of the Tornado Self Protection Jammer (TSPJ) at customer site as well as in industry. The test program allows testing of the airborne radar jammer up to maintenance level 2 (ML2).

The TSPJ was developed and produced in the 90´s for the Tornado platform. The availability of the TSPJ increases customers’ possible applications in the electronic warfare.

This test bench integrates high-end test technology for RF (Radio Frequency), analog and digital signals in a deployable STTE (Special-to-Type-Test-Equipment). It is fully automatic and provides diagnostic testing as well as acceptance testing. The development and maintenance of such a test bench requires high competencies on RF technology and Electronic Warfare.
